A note from the founder

We built the game we needed after a long day.

QuantumSpinRealm started on the ferry home across Sydney Harbour. I wanted something to hold in my hands that slowed my breathing instead of speeding my thumbs — no leaderboards shouting, no energy meters draining, no confetti demanding I spend.

So our tiny studio in Potts Point spent two years shaping a spin mechanic that feels like turning a smooth stone in your palm. Every sound was recorded at 432 Hz, every colour pulled from the oat-and-cyan light of a Sydney morning.

This is a game you can put down mid-level and feel fine about — and pick back up whenever you need three quiet minutes. That is the whole promise, and we take it seriously.

How to play

Three gentle steps to your first calm streak.

No tutorial walls of text. You will understand QuantumSpinRealm in under a minute — and still be discovering its depth an hour later.

  1. Spin the realm
    1

    Spin the realm

Drag anywhere to rotate the constellation of glowing orbs. There is no wrong direction and no clock — the ring only moves when you do, so you set the entire pace.

  2. Align the quiet colours
    2

    Align the quiet colours

Match three or more orbs of the same hue to dissolve them into soft light. Chains ripple outward with a warm chime tuned to 432 Hz, rewarding patience over speed.

  3. Unlock deeper realms

Each cleared board opens a new ambient biome — tidal, forest, aurora, dusk. Progress saves automatically offline, so you can drift between realms on the train with no signal at all.

The studio

Six people, one very calm office in Potts Point.

We are a small independent Android studio on Ward Avenue. No crunch, no dark patterns — just people who care about how a game makes you feel when you set it down.

Players on video

What a calm streak feels like, in their words.

We asked a handful of players to film themselves after a session. No scripts — just honest reactions to a game built for winding down.

I open QuantumSpinRealm on my commute from Bondi and I actually arrive at work less frazzled. It is the only game that lowers my heart rate instead of raising it.

My mum is 71 and not a "gamer", but she plays two realms every night before bed. The big soft orbs and no time limit made it click for her instantly.

Runs perfectly offline on my old Pixel. I played the whole aurora biome on a flight to Melbourne and the battery barely moved. Genuinely soothing.
